Dana Goldman

Dana Goldman is the Director of Health Economics at The RAND Corporation and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Radiology and Health Services at UCLA. He is the recipient of the 2002 Alice S. Hersh New Investigator Award that recognizes the contribution of new scholars to the field of health services research

Dr. Goldman’s research interests combine applied microeconomics and health economics. He has a special interest in the economics of chronic disease and his work has been published in leading medical, economic, statistics, and health policy journals. Dr. Goldman is also leading a multi-institutional effort (National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, and the National Science Foundation) to provide national estimates of the cost of government-sponsored cancer trials.

Dr. Goldman received his Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University, and his B.A. from Cornell University.
